Exciting news from ‘Chimneys for Africa’
The Chimneys for Africa team are now in Nairobi, Kenya to:
- Manufacture and install 25 chimneys in the Simanjiro Desert, Tanzania (where the problem of smoke inhalation was first brought to their attention)
- Manufacture and install 25 chimneys in West Kenya (Solomon, who runs a local hospital, is very supportive of the project)
- Rigorously test the 50 installed chimneys for design efficacy using testing equipment provided by Air-Met Scientific
What a breath of fresh air! Its fantastic to see the Chimneys for Africa team hard at work, tackling smoke inhalation one chimney at a time. I love that theyre not just installing these life-saving chimneys but also rigorously testing them with Air-Met Scientific equipment – science meets sustainability, and Im all for it!
